Trivia

- Despite what many people may believe now a days. Samantha was the first openly bi-sexual GDW Undisputed champion.

Prologue: Reevaluation of Samantha Raine
Ever since Samantha joined the SCW roster she has tried to be an open book to everyone. Allowing them to see all of her emotions and sharing her thoughts she’s had about the last couple years of her career. While many can say that she’s been coasting along in a fog dreaming of the glory days while she’s been trampled by freight trains the likes of Regan Helms. Maybe they were right because unlike the rest of the roster she actually has a growing daughter. Regan maybe has a daughter, but she’s nearly a grown a woman, but more importantly, she’s adopted. While Sam has no doubts that Regan loves her daughter and would do anything for her, but it’s not the same kind of bond that Sam has with her daughter seeing as Jenni Helms is already following in her “parent’s” footsteps. Where Sam gave birth to her daughter who isn’t even old enough to drive herself around yet, hasn’t found her interest in boys (or girls for that matter), and most importantly she hasn’t even decided what she wants to do when she becomes older.

So for every day that passes, every day that her daughter gets older, Samantha is finding it harder and harder to leave home for the next show. Don’t get her wrong she still loves the thrill she receives from being in front of the fans, but at the same time, she is starting to find that she doesn’t enjoy the personal conflict between her peers anymore. She knows that everyone that comes into her life for a reason and with a lesson to learn, but there were some lessons that she was already well versed in and she didn’t need the constant reminders of the fact. It also didn’t hurt that her previously hand was starting to give her more and more trouble. It was those reasons that she was reevaluating continuing her career was worth it or not. She hadn’t made a decision just yet, because she’s really thinking about it this time… not like the time she jumped the gun in GDW with her retirement tour.

She’s taking the time to really think about it, because of the changing landscape in SCW, but more so for the fact that she was sitting in her car. She was stuck in traffic trying to get to her daughter’s school for a parent-teacher conference about some issues that Alaska was having when “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails came on the radio. Normally, the song wouldn’t evoke any kind of response from her, but with how she’s been feeling and the fact that the song was covered by the late Johnny Cash, a man that was one of her mother’s favorite musicians who had said every minute of your life, you are forced to make a choice, you can choose hate, or you can choose love. It goes without saying that early in her career she choose to hate because she used and abused people to get what she wanted. To many that it’s a faint memory, but to Sam, it’s one of her biggest regrets… people nowadays might think that Syren, Katya, and Dark Fantasy corrupted Marie Jones. However, that isn’t the case it started long ago in GDW when Sam and Hidden Desires ruled the roost and used Marie as a way to get what they wanted from her family… mostly notably Jason Redfield, her aunt’s now former husband when he was in charge.

With the birth of her daughter, Samantha’s perspective changed as she started to choose love. She found respect not only for herself but started to give it to the people around her. She started to atone for the dirty deeds she had used to get to the top as she vowed to leave everyone that she met with a smile on their face by distancing herself from the unnecessary animosity by simply not giving it a voice or a place in her mind. She’s even started to cut certain people out of her life because she finally saw them for what they truly were. Cancer. An anchor. For the first time in a long time, Samantha Hawkins was finding her strength and confidence. She was finding that life had more stability in it as she seemingly closed the open marriage part of her relationship with her husband. As he never took advantage of the agreement that they made so she could continue her relationship with Brittany Lohan. Her daughter despite a couple of bad judgment calls getting into fights at school was a “perfect” angel. Her personal life was where she wanted it to be even with the hiccup of her nagging hand issues.

Professionally, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to notice that she was losing her popularity. Even she could see it looking back on her past work, how she was slowly starting to decline because she was more so focused on being a role model for her daughter that she lost something. She lost her killer instinct that made her a serious threat and a dedicated competitor.

The Great Omission? +OFF Camera+

Breakdown didn’t go according to plan, because Samantha would have loved to see Minka (Crissy Gardner) knock Andrew Raynes down a couple of rungs of the ladder. However, she should have known that Dawn Lohan and her opponent on the next edition of Breakdown, Alexis Quinne would have different thoughts about it. She just wanted to yell at the both of them that there was enough of Raynes ego for each of them to take down some of it. Though she knew that they weren’t going to listen to her because they were blinded by their own frustrations towards the former Adrenaline Champion. It made Sam’s head hurt just thinking about it and that is why she was glad to be home… not to mention that her hand was really starting to itch underneath the brace that her doctor is making her wear for a precaution at the moment.

As she pulled in the driveway she noticed that parked out in front of the house a Land Rover that she’s never seen before. Which considering the fact that it had a dealership plate hanging in the window it was obvious that it was new to whoever was driving it as well. So Sam paid it no mind as she tried her best to itch underneath the brace with her finger after cutting the engine off. However, she didn’t have much success and decided that it’s probably best to just go inside give her husband and daughter both hugs and kisses. It doesn’t take her long to make to the trek from her Dodge Charger to the front door as she decides just to leave her bags in the car for now. So when she got to the front door she wasn’t surprised to find that the door was unlocked, she opened it, and stepped into the front foyer of the house.

“Chase, Alaska! I’m home!” Sam called out, but strangely there was no response. Sam stood there a little dumbfounded but then checked the wall clock in the foyer to see that it’s only 2:45 pm. That explained why she didn’t have Alaska tackling her to the floor because she hasn’t home it home and off the school bus yet. So that just leaves the curious case of why her husband is rushing to the door to help her in considering that he now knows what’s been going on with her. She finally broke down and told him after her doctor’s appointment on Alaska’s birthday that she has been having issues with her hand again. Luckily, the appointment with the doctor proved that she was right in that it wasn’t anything serious and that her half-sister, Jesse, was just overreacting. It wasn’t any sort of lasting nerve or ligament damage from the injury… just a simple case of carpel’s tunnel that’s treatable with or without surgery.

Figuring that he must be napping in the living room after binge-watching some kind of television, she goes to enter the living room from the front foyer. However, she is stopped in her track after about a step when she notices that he is very much awake and in a deep conversation with a blonde haired woman. Sam couldn’t tell who she is, because she can only see the back of her head, but the conversation was so deep that she’s certain that her husband doesn’t see her standing there as he put a ring on the woman’s finger. Needless to say, the room starts to spin around her, because she had always believed that he never saw anyone, because one of the major ground rules set by the both of them was that they were to be open and honest about who they were with for both of their safety when it comes to STDs.

Sam knew that she was going to have to confront her husband about this, but at the moment she was short of breath and unsure what to do at the moment. As she didn’t want to overreact and attack both of them, because that wouldn’t be fair to her husband considering how many times he had walked in on her with Brittany. There was also the fact that it could be a new relationship that he hadn’t had a chance to tell her about yet. Though to see Chase putting a ring on her finger was damning to the fact that it wasn’t a new relationship. Sam finally decides to silently slip back out of the house to drive around the neighborhood for a little bit so they could finish their business. As Sam slowly and carefully shut the front door not to alert them the mystery woman unheard by Samantha says:

“Chase, this ring is amazing!” The woman says, “I’m sure that Sammy is going to love it.”

Chase couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear with the compliment about the ring. “Thanks, Beth… I’m just so glad that you are the same ring size as Samantha. It wouldn’t be much of surprise if I had her trying on rings.”

“No problem baby brother,” Beth said, with her own huge smile on her face, because her brother’s call to come over to try on the ring gave her an excuse to drive her new Land Rover that her own husband bought her for her birthday.

“Do you want to say for dinner to see her reaction?” Chase asked, and his sister pondered the offer for a moment, but as her smile started to fade away Chase knew what her answer was going to be.

“I need to be getting home,” Beth says, “Besides with how little you see her and you give her this… she may let you eat her for dinner.” The moment those words came out of his sister’s mouth the former wrestling champion was beet red and totally embarrassed in the moment. His sister’s crass sense of humor isn’t new to him, but the fact that she was talking about him and Samantha in such a manner was too much for him.

“BETH!” Chase exclaimed, and all his sister could do was a laugh as she took the ring off her finger and handed it back to him. After that, the siblings just silently sit for a couple of moments before she got up and showed herself out of the house. Chase stood up and started to pace around the room because he knew that it was just about time for Alaska to be getting home. Though on this day she’s not coming straight home. He asked her grandfather to pick her up from school so that he could spend some quality time with Samantha once she was home so they could for the lack of tack… do lewd things like what his sister had suggested.

However, he had noticed that the time was started to eek closer to 3:30 pm and he knew that her flight was supposed to be in at 2:15. Even in the heaviest of traffic, it wouldn’t take her this long to get home from the airport. He grabs his cellphone off the coffee table and tries to call her, but the phone just rings until it clicks over to voice mail.

The Reevaluation of Samantha Raine (continued)
Her momentum has shifted back and forth in her favor. She was getting to be on television more, she was winning some of her matches. Her rivalry with Regan Helms was gaining the attention she had thought it deserved. In fact, it had reached a fever pitch and the last time they locked up it was complete and utter war zone of a match. For the first time in all of the matches they have had against one another, Samantha Raine felt like she had taken Regan to her limits, but still came up short. Whether or not Samantha’s peers or Regan will admit it, but that match was probably the hardest that Regan had been pushed in a while.

It seems as Samantha’s competitive spirit was returning. Is it just a matter of time before her gold lust returns as well to consume her, figuratively and literally? Every match seems to bring a little bit more out of her, her hunger for victory, thirst for adulation… was the SCW getting closer to seeing the return of ‘The Sinful Star’? In her last match she failed to defeat Alexis Quinne in a one on one match, but in just a couple of days at Retribution, she was going to have another chance to right that mistake along with another one.

It’s been more than a few years since Samantha Raine lost the GDW Fever championship, to Dawn Lohan, but there isn’t a day that goes by that Samantha doesn’t think about that match. At the time Samantha played it off as Dawn was able to avenge the beating that Sam gave her to get under her sister’s skin when she had Dawn on her “talk show” The Rain Drop. At the time that was a good way to justify the loss, but anyone close to Sam knew that it wasn’t as cut and dry as that. She had lost the Fever championship in her first title defense against someone that didn’t have nearly half the experience that she had on the main roster.

So looking at this upcoming match in the “war” to see who gets the first piece of Andrew Raynes is a way to avenge two separate losses. She knows that winning this triple threat wasn’t going to change the outcome of the last Breakdown nor would it allow her to regain possession of the GDW Fever championship. Never mind the fact that title as well as the company has been defunct for several years now, but even then at the end of GDW’s days… Dawn Lohan wasn’t even the champion anymore. The rematch for the title never happened. A rematch of sorts happened recently on SCW television, but it was a tag team match that saw Sam and her partner, Crissy Gardner, as Chance of Pain take on Dawn and her sister, Abigale as Lohan Country.

A rematch that ended in a draw and demanded a rematch of its own. However, much like the Fever championship rematch… fate has other plans where SCW has been concerned. Dawn deciding to try her hand at singles wrestling again simply put the tag team rematch on hold. However, this reevaluation of Samantha isn’t to determine whether or not she should get either of those rematches. Oh no this reevaluation is about how she is regaining her passion, her fire, her desire… her will to succeed in the face of adversity.

Making Mistakes? +OFF Camera+

Samantha drove around for just about thirty minutes before she parked her car and headed inside of a nearby hotel. She wasn’t there to get a room as she headed straight to the hotel’s bar. Which is something that she never thought she would do again? You say the sad truth about Sam’s family at least on her father’s side of it… they were alcoholics that don’t know when to call it quits. Luckily for Sam, she hasn’t run into any trouble from drinking, but then again she’s avoided it for the most part. As the only time, she’s really felt the need to drink was after losing the GDW Undisputed championship to Angela Jameson for the second time. In which, she got so plastered that she threw herself at both men and women until she was kicked out of this very bar to return to her room because at that point in time she was living in New York.

It was on the elevator ride up to her room that she started to molest another passenger in the elevator. That other passenger turned out to be Chase Hawkins (her future husband), who had just been fired by a corrupt boss who was pushing his less talented son over more talented and even better liked superstars. Being a true southern gentlemen, born and raised in New Orleans, denied her advances in the elevator and offer to help her to her room. As he couldn’t bring himself to let her wander the halls by herself as she could have gotten into some real trouble, because not everyone is as good as he is.

However, that’s when the real “trouble” started for both of them. When they got to Sam’s room that she was sharing with her cousin Patience and best friend Minka she realized that she had neither her key card nor phone to call either one of her roommates to come let her in. The only option she had was to go back down to front desk to get a replacement key, but Chase knew that wasn’t going to work out too well. With how drunk she was it was more likely that she was going to get them arrested for drunk and disorderly. So he did the only thing that he could think of at the moment and that was to take her back to his room. Which if wasn’t for the fact that he knew who the woman was, because they were both professional wrestlers… he’d probably have cut bait here and ran because the situation was starting to look like an episode of Law and Order; SVU.

The new plan was to get her to his room and use his phone to call the front desk to see if they could get a hold of Minka or Patience for them. That plan backfired too because at this point he didn’t know the names of either of the other women she was saying with and as soon as he put her down on the couch in his room she was out like a light. So calling the front desk was out of the question leaving him only to make her as comfortable as he could on the couch and then went to bed himself. Sam’s recollection of that night is interrupted as she takes a seat at the bar and the bartender makes his way over to her.

“Can I see your I.D., sweetie?” The bartender asked, which both insulted and made Sam happy at the same time. It was like the inside joke with Shannon there were times where it was fine, but then there times she wasn’t in the mood for it. The fact that she was being carded at the moment was frustrating, but at the same time, she could take it as a compliment that she still looks so young due to her small stature and angelic like appearance.

“Sure,” that’s all that Sam said as she reached into her handbag to pull out the laminated card to hand to him. The bartender took it and give it a thorough check of all the security features to make sure that it wasn’t a forgery. When he is satisfied which his check he heads it back to her and proceeds to smile at her.

“What can I get for you, Samantha?” He said, and if Sam didn’t know any better she would have thought that he was trying to flirt with her now. She, however, pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind, because she didn’t think that far ahead as she really hadn’t decided that she was going to drink, but now it was time to shit or get off the pot. She doesn’t really remember any drinks names and she didn’t want to ask for a menu. As she knew the longer it took for her to pick a drink the higher the chances were that she was going to chicken out to keep her promise to her uncle and dad that she wouldn’t drink in honor of their sobriety. Finally, the name of a drink came to her, but she didn’t know what was in it… she only remembers hearing Minka talk about it.

“Corpse reviver number two,” Sam said, as she was trying to fortify her resolve and the bartender gave her a look as if to ask if she was sure that was what she wanted. She also absentmindedly tapped her wedding ring to bring the bartenders attention to that to signal him to back off on the flirting. Sam than just sat there and watched as he mixed equal parts of gin, lemon juice, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, and a dash of absinthe.

“Be careful with that.” The Bartender said, as he put the drink in front of her and then turned his attention to another woman customer that was desperately trying to get his attention away from Sam. Sam stared at the drink wondering what she was about to get herself in to, but for at least a little while longer wasn’t going to drink it as the memories of the last time she got drunk came back to her. It wasn’t long after Chase had passed out in his bed that she woke up on the couch. She was still highly intoxicated, hot, and very horny. She stood up and undressed right there and then moved over to the bed he was sleeping in. It wasn’t long after crawled into the bed that she got surprised by Chase, but in her drunken stupor, she didn’t care. She had an itch to scratch and it seemed like he finally came around to her way of thinking.

Sam’s thoughts were once again interrupted, but this time it was by her phone. It was just brief, but the sounds of “Gimme That Girl” By Joe Nichols from his Old Things New album emanated from the device. Seeing as the song didn’t play too long she knew that it was a just a text message. Which she really thought about not even looking at it, because curiosity got the better of her. She knew that it was already from Chase because that’s the only person she has set up to use that song. She pulled her phone out of her handbag and then unlocked her phone to read the text.

“Where are you? I’m getting worried,” Chase wrote, which made Sam’s heart skip a beat strangely considering how mad that she was at him. To where she was starting to think that maybe her mind missed something that her heart didn’t.

“Outrunning some errands,” She replied, which again her heart ached at lying to him which surprised her, but she knew that she couldn’t tell him that she was sitting in a bar about to drink a Corpse reviver number two. It didn’t take long before her phone went off again with another message.

“When are you coming home? I had some special plans for tonight,” He sent and Sam smirked at the thought of what that would entail considering what she’s been thinking about. However, then the sight of him sitting in the living room with that other woman came flooding back to her. She wondered if part of his special plans tonight were to come clean about the other woman. However, she didn’t want to wait to find out and or get duped into a passionate night of lovemaking with her husband without finding out the truth.

“Who is the woman that you’re sleeping with?” Sam replied, and then waited for the response. Which she didn’t have to wait long it was almost instantly.

“I’m not sleeping with anyone else,” He replied, and at that moment Sam felt a great deal of disappointment towards her husband that he would lie to her like that.

“You know the rules,” Sam sent, but before he even had a chance to reply to that she sent: “I saw you with another woman in our house.”

“I do know the rules and I’m telling you there is no one else,” He replied, which just made Sam even more furious with him to where she turned her phone on to silent and tossed it back into her handbag. Finally, at that moment she reached out and picked the glass with her drink up from the counter. She held in front of her for a couple more moments thinking about what she’s about to do before moving it to her lips. However, before she starts to ingest the alcoholic drink she freezes as the awkwardness of the morning after that first night with Chase.

How she was sitting at the top of the bed with the sheet wrapped around her naked body and he was sitting at the foot of the bed in his boxers. Neither one of them wanted to say anything at that moment, because they were both scared of what the other was going to say. Chase was worried that Samantha was going to call the police to report that he raped her after she climbed into the bed even after all the advances she made towards him because she wasn’t of sound mind at the time. It’s just his dumb luck that he was born with a rare form of parasomnia (Sleep Walking) known as Sexsomnia or plainly put Sleep sex.

On the other hand even though most of the night was a blur to her she remembers throwing herself at him several different times and while it’s less likely that he would say that she raped him, because of the stigmata behind the idea of a guy being raped (or as in some few cases that have gone to trial made to penetrate). Though she couldn’t say either way which way he would go, from watching him at the foot of the bed she felt that he was leaning more to the side of not reporting anything. It felt like forever, but finally, in that hotel room they decided that they were both innocent, but both guilty at the same time so it would probably be for the best to turn a blind eye. However, Sam could tell that maybe Chase was interested in possibly having a relationship with her.

She knew that it wasn’t an ideal way to find a boyfriend, but she couldn’t deny that there was something about him that had her attracted to him as well. So she wrote down her phone number and gave it to him, but told him to wait at least two months before calling her. Just so the awkwardness of this situation could be forgotten and he could tell her that they met at a show or a convention and exchanged numbers and that he was finally getting back to her about a possible first date. He graciously accepted the phone number, but then gave her his phone number and told her to only call him if she changes her mind and decides that this is all just one big bad idea. She accepted the number, but neither one of them could imagine that she would use that number to call him six and a half weeks later to tell him that she was pregnant. The rest is history from there as they would get married before their daughter, Alaska January “A.J.” Hawkins was born.

“Fuck it,” Sam thought, as she started to part her lips to allow the liquor to pass into her mouth, but before even a drop could enter a hand grabbed the butt of the glass and pulled it away from her mouth causing some of it to spill down the front of the front of her shirt. She was upset that someone was bold enough to do that… in fact, she was more than ready beat said person’s ass until she turned to look at the person to see Woody Hoyt standing beside her.

“What are you doing?” Woody asked, and he didn’t sound too pleased to see her on the verge of drinking. Which she knew was because he knew the promise that she made to her family after that first night with Chase.

“Trying to kill the pain of betrayal,” Sam said, as she turned her attention back to the drink in front of her. She still wanted to drink it, but she couldn’t move it back up to her mouth, because he was still holding on to it.

“What do you mean? No one has betrayed you, Sammy,” Woody said, and Samantha could only scoff at him because he didn’t know what she knows about her husband.

“Chase, he’s lying to me. He’s breaking the rules that he set in our relationship.” Sam spit out as she could feel the anger welling back up inside of her just thinking about it.

“I think you are over thinking things,” He says, “Put the drink down and pick up your phone.”

“How did you even know I was here?” Sam asked as she did as he asked as far as putting the drink down, but the thought of picking up her phone was the furthest thing in her mind right now.

“Chase called me, said you were acting weird and was worried that you’d do something you’d regret,” Woody said, but to Sam, that didn’t answer her question of how he knew that she was here.

“How…” Sam started to ask the question again, but Woody interrupted her.

“I just happened to be driving by when he called and saw your car pulling out to be parked by the valet,” Woody said, she couldn’t believe the luck that her husband has sometimes, but as far as she’s concerned his luck with her has run out. However, she knew that she wasn’t going to get any peace until she did as Woody asked of her. So she reached back into her handbag to pull the phone back out and it wasn’t surprising that she had several missed calls and several texts from Chase waiting on her phone. She unlocked the phone and the first one read:

“When today?” She read and all she could think was yes today you idiot.

“If it was today that was my sister, Beth.” He followed up with but just shook her head because she has met his sister Beth before and knows that she has the same shade of red hair as he does.

“If you didn’t recognize her she bleached her hair blonde.” Sam read, which elicited a little bit of a chuckle from her because she couldn’t believe that he was sticking to his guns that it was sister just with blonde hair. She scrolled a little more to find a picture in the next message. The picture was a selfie of Chase with his sister, Beth, because there was no mistaking it because she could see her face and within the picture showed her with blonde hair like the woman she saw today. At the moment Sam’s breath caught in her throat because she was really starting to realize that she might have been overreacting to something that is really nothing. She continued to scroll down to find another picture. This one is of the ring that she saw him place on his sister’s finger, but more importantly of the engraving that reads: ‘Sam, Always + Forever, ♥ Chase’.

The second pictured was followed by: “She was here to try it on so I could make sure that it would fit you.” After reading that last text she dropped her down on to the bar next to the drinking glass. She couldn’t believe how colossally stupid that was today.

Raine Drop Entertainment Presents: Weathered +ON Camera+

It’s a relatively nice looking day out, but the camera crew of the SCW is set up in what appears to be an abandoned building. There are broken windows, paper litters the floor, as well as other objects that have been broken to the point that you can’t tell what they were once before now. As the camera starts filming the scene for whatever purpose the sound of laughter starts to be heard from within the building. It echoes around the building to where pinpointing where it is coming from is more than a little difficult to do, but it doesn’t take long for the source of the laughter to step out of one of the adjacent rooms. The source is that of Woody Hoyt, the trainer of, Samantha Raine. As he walks in to view of the camera he starts to speak.

“I’m not one for a lot of words, because I was brought in to keep up with Samantha’s training.” He says, with a devious smirk on his face. “However, I thought I would take the time to remind everyone that beauty can be found in just about everything. Even in something like this broken building.”

“Crazy. That’s what some of you are thinking about me right now.” Woody says as he knows it true, but that is only because they are blind to what he sees when he looks at this building and at Sam for that matter. “Think of it this way…”

“Mister Hoyt, I’m sorry to interrupt, but I don’t think this is going to work.” The “director” said as he doesn’t have the vision to see what not only he but what Samantha is trying to accomplish with this promo. “We might have to take this a different direction.”

“Don’t interrupt me and this better be edited out of the final cut,” Woody said, angrily. “What would say if I told you it doesn’t matter how you look, what people think of you? That the only thing that matters is what you do.”

Woody continues on with the promo like the interruption never happened, because he knows of the glory of post-production. “Just look at this building. It’s taken a beating over the years, but somehow against all odds, it’s still standing strong, like Samantha Raine.”

“She’s been attacked by guys like Josh Hudson, she’s been beaten numerous times by Regan Helms, but each time she has gotten back up to her feet.” He continues, “Without verbally saying she has defiantly screamed numerous times ‘I’M STILL STANDING!’ much like this building. Her opponents whether it’s Alexis Quinne, Dawn Lohan, or the Regan Helms of SCW… they all the make the mistake of thinking that she’s going to crumble and fade away after each defeat.”

A female’s laughter can now be heard as Samantha walks into view of the camera joining her trainer. She places her right hand on his shoulder with a smile on her face.

“Retribution is a fitting name for the pay per view because Alexis I will return the defeat you gave to me on Breakdown to you. Dawn, sweetie you and my family have been close for years… in fact, I can say I probably know your niece Miranda better than you do. Does that make us even for when you took my Fever champion in GDW? No, I’m not that kind of person that thinks that way. In fact, I don’t relish that thought in the least, with the schedules of this business sometimes it’s impossible to make time for family. Not to mention all the issues you’ve had with injuries as well.” Sam says as the smile fades a little bit from her face as she really doesn’t like the fact she has a stronger relationship with Miranda than Dawn. However, what can you do when Dawn’s sister’s Brittany wanted to keep her daughter a secret from everyone and gave her to Samantha to raise as her own child until recently.

“Sam doesn’t forget your focus at hand is getting by Alexis and Dawn to get Andrew Raynes,” Woody says, which snaps Samantha out of the train of thought that she was going down in the moment.

“You’re right… this match is about who will get their revenge on the coward first. Yes, Andrew, I haven’t forgotten about you, but first things first.” Sam says as she’s getting back on track.

“But not just Sam’s experience, but mine as well know that you will be watching this match closely,” Woody says, with a matter of fact tone, because he knows that’s what he would do if he was in the situation that Raynes is in at the moment. “And not only that, but we know with your history of interjecting yourself into matches you are not in. The chances are high that you are going to do the same for this match.”

“Woody’s right… you’re a cheap shot artist. I’ll be watching out for a blindside, but just remember this Andrew… I’m a masochist at heart. Attack me, I’ll enjoy it. Hurt me, I’ll fight on. In pain, I might struggle, but I’ll love it.” Samantha says before she licks her lips. Woody reaches up with his right hand and starts to stroke his beard slightly before he chuckles. He says something apparently to himself as the camera doesn’t pick it up, but Samantha begins to laugh as if she knew what it was that he was saying. “Alexis, Dawn, and even you Andrew you all have a special bond in the fact that the last time that I was in the ring against all of you in a one on one setting you’ve beaten me.”

“You think that you know Samantha, because of your previous matches against her, but I can assure you that you know nothing,” Woody says, as he pulls his hand away from his beard. “I’ve known this lady for years. I actually know her strengths and weakness, as she knows mine. From the time that we spent training underneath her father, to the GDW where we were colleagues, to even now. It’s why she choose me to be her trainer, because I wouldn’t waste time working areas that she’s already at the top of her ability in, but to where I could weed out her weaknesses.”

“Go ahead, I’ll let you break it down for them,” Sam said, after looking at Woody for about thirty seconds with a smile on her face.

“Alright, Andrew… you’re not in this match so I’ll skip you for now. When I look at Sam, Alexis, and Dawn I can say with certainty that power is an area all three of you struggle in with other opponents. However, in terms of the three of you… I’d say you are all about equal with the slight edge going to Sammy.” Woody says, with a smirk continuing on his face as Samantha just nods her head in approval.

“What about speed and agility?” Sam asked as she cocked her head to the side wondering what he was going to say about this.

“Again, I’d have to say that the three of you are in the same ballpark.” He says, modestly and it doesn’t look like Samantha is too happy about it. “Being the smallest in the match I’d say Sam is the fastest, but due to previous injuries, she’s not as agile as she used to be. So in terms of agility, I give the edge to Alexis in the match. However, overall with her speed and agility along with her longer reach I give the advantage to Dawn.”

“That’s not fair… how can you use my old knee injuries against me like that?” Sam said, with a pout.

“I’m just doing what you are paying me to do… straight shooting.” Woody quips as his smirk briefly turns in to a smile, but that doesn’t last too long as Samantha playfully slaps his shoulder in protest. “The next factor that often can determine matches… resiliency. All three of you can take a licking and keep on ticking like the energizer bunny, but the edge has to go to Sam again with her borderline Sadomasochistic tendencies.”

“Whip me, beat me, make me like it,” Sam said, with a huge smile on her face again.

“The x-factors in this match that I’ve observed that could determine the winner,” Woody says.

“For Dawn?” Sam askes, as continues to look at her friend and trainer awaiting his answer.

“Her knowledge of you, Sam, and of course her relationship with her sister is a big advantage for her.” He says, “She knows you on a nearly intimate level. Outside of you walking into the match with actual targets on your trouble areas… this as close as anyone can get to know without a doubt where your weaknesses are.”

“Thanks for the vote of confident…” Sam said, with a little disheartened vibe to her tone. As she couldn’t believe that he would be so candidly about how great Dawn’s chances of winning the match were really going into it.

“I’m just saying, but with her struggle trying to reestablish herself as a singles wrestler, it’s also quite likely that she is going to get frustrated. Which as everyone knows that frustration often leads to mistakes.” Woody adds, which seems to smooth things over with Samantha a little bit because he was right about frustrations causing mistakes. Some of her matches with Regan were lost because she got frustrated and made mistakes that were used against in the match.

“Okay, for Alexis?” Sam asked as she pulled her hand off his shoulder to place her both of her hands on her hips as she waits for the answer.

“She is probably going to disagree with this assessment, but she will need to use all of her speed and agility in conjunction with her cunning to steal the win. Because after all the matches of her I have studied I can say she doesn’t match up to either you or Dawn.” Woody says, but he isn’t finished there as he continues. “Add in the fact that if you can push her buttons you get her to make mistakes very easily from what I saw at least with the last couple of matches against Crissy. She also has trouble against more technically sound wrestlers which to me means that your one on one match just one of those rare times she prevailed, because let’s face it there is a reason you were able to coin the term “Submissionista.”

“Very true. Dawn, I really hope that you can stay focused during this match, but Alexis… I didn’t show it match on Breakdown, but I hope you are ready for me to show just how much of a submission specialist I truly am. At Retribution, I’m going to kill two birds with one stone.” Sam says, with a huge smile on her face, but that smile doesn’t last long.

“Cut!” The “Director” called out, as the camera were stopped and the staging lights were turned off. One of the production assistants ran up to Woody and Sam with two water bottles. The assistant hands each one of them a bottle, but only Woody opens his bottle to take a drink of it. “Everyone that was great, but were a few areas we can improve on. Take fifteen and then we’ll reset to start again.”

“Jesus,” Sam says, as the look of confidence and power fades away from her face as she raises her water bottle up to place against her forehead.

“Are you alright Sammy?” Woody asked as he knew that she was going through some stuff at him, but she seriously didn’t look good right now.

“I’m fine… I think I caught Alaska’s flu virus.” Sam said as she started to leave the “stage” of the promo to move over to a folding chair that was set up for her to sit on.

“Have you seen a doctor or taken anything for it?” Woody asked, as his concern just continued to grow for his friend.

“Not yet… I just need a good night’s sleep and for this shoot to end.” Sam said, as she finally took the bottle away from her forehead to open it and take a drink of it. After she was sitting down.

“I’ll go take to Mister James Cameron over there about fixing the issues in post-production.” Woody said, Sam weakly smiled at him and mouthed the words “Thank you.” Before he walked over to the director who was busy talking with some of the other crew about things that could have better with the shot.
